  • Bottom Bracket Type BSA / 68mm - English Threaded
  • Fork E-112 Aero Carbon
  • Frame Material 5655 HM Carbon
  • Front Derailleur Type Braze-On Required
  • Headset FSA Orbit IS-2 + 3D - 1 1/8"
  • Seatpost Argon 18 ASP 4000 Carbon

Made with high-modulus carbon fiber material and distinctively shaped frame tubing, the E-112 combines the aerodynamics of a whizzing bullet with a comfortable ride quality that won’t destroy you on long training rides or Ironman distance races.

The front triangle of the E-112 is a blend of angled and rounded profiles, engineered through extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics research and backed by wind-tunnel testing. The cables disappear cleanly into the top tube behind the stem, and both front and rear brakes are integrated into the frame and fork, hidden from the wind.

Looking at the E-112 from the side profile, the most striking tube shapes can be found in the rear triangle. Inherited from the E-114’s design, the deep, angular looking seat and chainstays provide a super stiff pedaling platform for rock-solid efficiency and power transfer.

The energetic feel of the powertrain is balanced out by a more compliant feel in the upper half of the frame, where thinner diameter tubes add comfort and compliance by absorbing road vibrations and shock. Argon 18 calls this two-pronged approach to its frame design Horizontal Dual System technology, or HDS. It’s something to appreciate when you’re hammering over rough roads, especially on long days in the saddle.

Up front, there’s another hallmark Argon 18 technology that further addresses comfort and fit. The 3D Headtube technology lets you choose from three head tube heights for every frame size, allowing you to dial in your position without adding a bunch of spacers and sacrificing stiffness and steering precision.

Multiply those adjustment possibilities by the number of stem and bar settings available, and the positioning possibilities are nearly endless. So you won’t have to force yourself into a cramped position to reduce drag, and you can fine-tune the position to address both comfort and handling. For example, you might the season with a taller head tube setting, then lower it to a more aggressive position as you build up your flexibility and strength to stay in a lower aero tuck for longer periods of time.

At 400mm, the chainstays of the E-112 are longer than most competing bikes. This stabilizes the bike at speed, which is key for triathletes/TT riders who ride with more of their weight forward on the bike, and experience reduced steering leverage because of the tri bar positioning. And as an added bonus, the longer chainstays create a longer chainline—which helps improve shifting performance.

In addition to the monocoque carbon fiber frame, this E-112 frameset comes with a one-piece aero-profile carbon fork, a reversible carbon fiber aero seatpost, an FSA headset, replaceable braze-on front derailleur hanger that’s compatible with a compact crankset, and a forged, replaceable rear derailleur hanger.
